We use a clip system in our classroom to manage student behavior. Every student starts on green and can "clip up" when they follow a rule and they can "clip down" if they break a rule. Students can move up and down the chart all day. If a student gets to pink and stays there until the end of the day they get a sticker and a note is sent home. Our school also uses Rocket Tickets and Super Tickets to encourage positive behavior. Rocket tickets can be given to students by any staff member throughout the school. For example, students can earn a Rocket Ticket in P.E. if they are following rules. Rocket Tickets are put into a weekly drawing in our classroom. Super tickets are awarded to the whole class by staff members other than the classroom teacher. At the end of each quarter, the class with the most Super Tickets in the grade level gets a doughnut party. |
